LYRICS

Follow, follow the sun

And which way the wind blows

When this day is done

Breathe, breathe in the air

Set your intentions

Treat them with care

Tomorrow’s a new day for everyone

A brand-new moon and brand-new sun

 Follow, follow the sun

The direction of the birds

The direction of love

Breathe, breathe in the air

Cherish this moment

Cherish this breath

Tomorrow’s a new day for everyone

A brand-new moon and brand-new sun

When you feel life coming down on you like a heavy weight

When you feel this crazy society adding to the strain

Take a stroll to the nearest water’s edge, remember your place

Many moons have risen and fallen long, long before you came

(High:) So which way is the wind blowing

(Low:) What does your heart say

Follow, follow the sun

And which way the wind blows

When this day is done

A reminder of Hope, Life, Nature, and Beauty

I always have the chance to begin the day with a sense of rebirth and renewal after my early run. The other morning, I was listening to the song "Follow the Sun" by Xavier Rudd, and it struck me as being particularly relevant to the uncertainty and anxiety we are all experiencing, as well as the wonderful new ways of being we are discovering through connection, creativity, slowing down, and giving back. A lot of the people I've lately spoken to, including myself, are adjusting well to this new reality of living at home.

In nature, we can take a break from the demands of the day-to-day, slow down, stop, and observe the expansion and shared level of life without argument or the need to defend ourselves. Instead, we can use nature as a metaphor to celebrate the unique beauty that each flower, tree, and so on represents. We can use this metaphor as a constant reminder in our lives.

What I do know is that springtime is a chance to start over, start over, and know that the flowers will always blossom and the sun will always shine.

Being in nature serves as a reminder that change is the only constant and inspires hope, beauty, rebirth, and expansion.

As we develop and learn, alter our habits to let go of the past and outdated identities, we can continue to adopt this mindset.

Anyone may positively alter through difficulty, and we can all consciously construct the lives we wish to live.
