Lyrics
Enrique Iglesias
One love, one love
Gente de Zona
Descemer
Yo te miro y se me corta la respiración
Cuando tú me miras, se me sube el corazón
(Me palpita lento el corazón)
Y en un silencio tu mirada dice mil palabras (uh)
La noche en la que te suplico que no salga el sol
Bailando (bailando)
Bailando (bailando)
Tu cuerpo y el mío llenando el vacío
Subiendo y bajando (subiendo y bajando)
Bailando (bailando)
Bailando (bailando)
Ese fuego por dentro me va enloqueciendo
Me va saturando
Yo quiero estar contigo
Vivir contigo, bailar contigo
Tener contigo una noche loca (una noche loca)
Ay, besar tu boca (y besar tu boca)
Yo quiero estar contigo
Vivir contigo, bailar contigo
Tener contigo una noche loca
Con tremenda nota
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Tú me miras y me llevas a otra dimensión
(Estoy en otra dimensión)
Tus latidos aceleran a mi corazón
(Tus latidos aceleran a mi corazón)
Qué ironía del destino no poder tocarte (¡wuh!)
Abrazarte y sentir la magia de tu olor
Bailando (bailando)
Bailando (bailando)
Tu cuerpo y el mío llenando el vacío
Subiendo y bajando (subiendo y bajando)
Bailando (bailando)
Bailando (bailando)
Ese fuego por dentro me va enloqueciendo
Me va saturando
Yo quiero estar contigo
Vivir contigo, bailar contigo
Tener contigo una noche loca (una noche loca)
Ay, besar tu boca (y besar tu boca)
Yo quiero estar contigo
Vivir contigo, bailar contigo
Tener contigo una noche loca
Con tremenda nota
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh (bailando, amor)
Oh-oh-oh-oh (bailando, amor)
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh
(Es que se me va el dolor) oh-oh-oh-oh

The story of Sex and Love in a Song
Enrique Iglesias, a Spanish musician, recorded the
song "Bailando" for his 2014 release of "Sex and Love," his
tenth studio album. While Jamaican singer Sean Paul appears on the
English/Spanglish version of the song, the original Spanish version of the song
features Cuban musicians Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona.
Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona completed
"Bailando" in 2013 without Iglesias' vocals, although it was not made
available as a single. Iglesias claimed in a backstage interview with Univision
Musica at the Premios lo Nuestro in 2014 that when Bueno first played him the
song, he didn't like it and didn't want to record it, but after doing so, he
fell in love with it and now counts the song as one of his favourites from the
album. The song's title, "Dancing," refers to both the joy of dancing
and a woman.
The music video's English translation, which was
directed by Cuban producer Alejandro Perez, was made public on June 13th, 2014.
The video was also produced by Iglesias' longtime colleagues Yasha Malekzad,
who served as creative producer, and Kasra Pezeshki, who served as executive
producer. The video features Sean Paul, Gente de Zona, and Descemer Bueno in
addition to flamenco dancers performing in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
All of the performers are participating in the song's chorus and dancing
alongside the flamenco dancers from Havana's Ballet Lizt Alfonso, led by female
dancer Ana Karla Suarez. The English-language version of the music video has
around 333 million views as of October 2019.
Rankings, Certifications, and Awards: The English
version of the song peaked at #8 in Slovakia, #13 in the Czech Republic, #4 in
Poland, #38 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, #28 on the US
Billboard Adult Top 40 chart, #10 on the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40, and #1
on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in its year of release. The Spanish
version of the song peaked at #30 on the US Billboard Rhythmic Chart. The
original "Bailando" received extraordinarily high certifications in
Mexico, Spain, and Italy, as well as 24 accolades in the year of its debut.
